We all depend on information. We have no doubt that cryptographic
techniques are the key to keep information and information systems secure.
Research projects conducted in the laboratory are of Cryptology,
Computational Complexity Theory and related Mathematics.
To quote G. H. Hardy, "No mathematician should ever allow himself
to forget that mathematics, more than any other art or science,
is a young man's game." (A Mathematician's Apology, 1940.)
You should join us if you have a strong motivation
to be a theorist as well as a strong mathematical background.

Shizuya-Sakai Laboratory is located in Multimedia Education and Research Complex in Kawauchi-kita campus.
Our research subjects are information security theory and computational complexity theory.
We students can freely study any subject we are interested in.
Many students in our laboratory have not studied information security theory and related mathematics
until he or she joins our laboratory.
The only thing you need is your strong will.
